poepoe — Privacy Policy

Cony Solutions · net.poepoe.app

Poepoe teaches informal German and Dutch phrases — the stuff a textbook skips. This page explains, plainly, what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. No legal filler: if a section doesn't apply to Poepoe, it isn't here.

1What we collect

DataWhy
Email address & password To create an account and sign you back in. Passwords are salted and hashed — we never see or store the plain text. Only if you sign up
Phrases and audio recordings you submit To grow the shared library of phrases other learners study. You choose what to record and submit. Only if you contribute
Lesson answers, XP, streak, learning history So the app can track your own progress and pick what to show you next. Always, once you use lessons

That's the entire list. Poepoe has no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and doesn't request your location, contacts, photos, or any device permission besides the microphone (used only when you tap "record" to submit a phrase).

2Guest / anonymous use

You can try lessons without creating an account. A guest session still needs somewhere to keep your in-progress XP and streak, so a temporary, anonymous account is created behind the scenes — it holds no email or personal details, and signing up later simply attaches your email to that same progress instead of starting over.

3Where it lives

Poepoe runs on infrastructure we operate ourselves — not a large third-party data platform. Your data is not sold, and it is not shared with advertisers or data brokers. It's used only to run the app you're using: checking your answers, keeping your streak, and showing community-submitted phrases to other learners.

4Your choices

5Children

Poepoe teaches informal, sometimes crude, slang and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

6Changes to this policy

If what Poepoe collects changes, this page will change with it — the date at the top always reflects the current version.
